Leaks and Bend? - Need suggestions and comments

Well, first let me say that I truly love my Hyper-S and believe it is the most fun I've had on a bike in almost 20 years.

My first issues have arrived, not major, but annoying none the less.

1. I have a leaking compression adjuster on the left fork... can't quite determine if it is leaking from the screw valve adjustment, or the outer silver nut. Noticed after a recent ride...have to take it to the dealer as I assume it is covered under warranty. No lose parts.

2. Again, a leaking component - the front brake reservoir is leaking by the left screw/left side. Leaks while riding from the vibration. Again, no lose parts.

3. Cleaning the bike for the first time, I noticed the front rim has almost like a kink on both sides of the rim. Kind of flared out. I assume this happened when the bike had its first tires spooned on. Have not changed the first set of tires yet. Thoughts??

Looking if anyone else has noticed these concerns...

Thanks!

The leaks are a bummer.Watch out for the brake fluid. As you may know, that stuff destroys paint. As far as the wheel is concerned, that sounds like something that would happen if you hit an obstacle(pothole etc.) with low tire pressure.Maybe?

+1 on the wheel "taco" being from hitting a pothole or something in the road at speed ... there are a few places that specialize in fixing bent wheels ... just check out their work before you leave a wheel with them, to make sure they know their stuff. aside from damaging the cosmetics, they can also damage the integrity of the wheel if they don't know what they are doing.

on the leaks, take the bike to your dealer ... they need to fix these leaks under warranty.

a presto,
johnc
