went out today 400+km at a guess up the putty. saw another HM heading south to the halfway RH. awesome on the hyper, had to tweak the suspension as i ripped the rear to shreds on the first section towards the halfway. adding more compression damping sis the job, i think the hot weather softened it up heaps.

interestingly by the time i got home i had the clutch going soft at the lever, maybe some air in there! and a bit of heat fade in the rear shock. it was 30c out there tho!

Yeah, I went out Oberon way today, brilliant weather, SFA traffic till I got back....
did a little write up & pics in Oz section

What were you planning tomorrow MY45??, I suppose I really shouldn't have 2000kms on the first service, I might actually give it a tub and take one of the others out till I get the service done during the week... do ya think my scooter would keep up to the HMs?

Well i almost made it to the ride. I had a crash coming into the eatern creek maccas off ramp There was shitloads of oil on the entry to the servo, so i slowed down and as i was doing so hit some grooved/mounded tar and the bike suddenly spat sideways then the other way then backagain and hi sided me. Im ok but the hyper has seen better days. Ill get some pics later today.

I guess i was going to get rid of those plastic hand guards anyway

oh sh*t, that's not good news,, sorry to hear - poor Hyper!!! glad that you're intact.
I'm amazed anyone would go out in this crap, it's been solid through the night and morning, but I often go out hoping it might clear.
Got it home OK?

You getting different mirror/guards?
I just got quoted for the genuine hand guards(only) and upright mirrors with blinkers in them...

$735.15 for the parts, $900.15 fitted not just yet I thought

Yeah im all good, no sore spots so i guess i should be happy about that.

Lots of other guys have done aftermarket handguards and blinkers and some of them look great. $900 thats just crazy!
