HM110S Different Suspension in 2009
I just noticed that Ducati are changing to Kayaba 48mm forks on the 09 Hyper S, but are retaining the marchozzi on the base...
thoughts??

this is from ducatis site
The new lightweight 48mm Kayaba forks of the 'S' include a durable low friction, DLC (diamond-like carbon) black coating to the sliders, making the Hypermotard 'S' respond effortlessly to every minute variation in the tarmac and improve its already impressive road holding. The advanced 'S' suspension is further enhanced with an Öhlins remote reservoir rear shock, renowned in racing circles as the ultimate performance choice. This incredible shock is fully adjustable for compression and rebound damping and spring preload ensuring that the 'S' is readily adaptable to riding style and every road it challenges.

it also looks as if, according to that chart, that the base model now gets monobloc calipers, DLC coating on the forks and an Ohlin rear shock. If the left column is the base model specs.

Getting closer to my WR which has the 48mm Kayaba. I think they are great. Not to mention there are quite a few specialist out there to tune these. Even the Ghez-ster!
The high-end Kayaba's have a lot of "knobs" to tune!
