Tires- too good a deal? Am I missing something?
I found these after a bit of searching....seems like a good deal. Am I missing something? Anyone from Los Angeles area have a dealer that will match or come close or install tires for a reasonable cost?
Has anyone had ProItalia install tires? What was the cost with the wheels on or off the bike? Will they install customer supplied tires?

Ok, maybe I should ask it this way.....
Are these tires a good replacement for the OEM?
What's a good price for a set of tires?

I tried to order some dirtbike tires from Bike Bandit once. The deal seemed too good to be true, even better than SW Moto (which is where I normally buy my tires). "What's the catch?" I wondered. Outrageous shipping, perhaps? No, as I completed the order, shipping was minimal, and the tires were still a few bucks less than at SW Moto (even considering the shipping costs). Then they got me. I didn't notice until AFTER I'd clicked through the order -- and, though, I can't be sure, I'd swear it never showed up anywhere until I'd finished the order and been sent a final receipt -- but they had tagged on a twenty-some dollar "handling fee." I had to call them on the phone and cancel the order.
I buy lots of stuff from Bike Bandit ... but NEVER tires.
As stated previously, SW Moto has the best tire prices anywhere.

That's a crappy way to hide charges. Makes sense now that they're offering free shipping that there'd be a handling charge.
As and fyi to those in LA, ProItalia is selling Corsa IIIs for about the same money give or take a couple of bucks and charge 20 per tire to mount and balance if you bring in the wheels.

I wonder how many of the "S" buyers will stick with the Corsa tires?

I didn't have a problem with the tires at all...about 3600 miles and I still have a few hundred more.

I love 'em. Just the name scares the competitors!
