Exhaust ceramic coated
I'm considering to let my header pipes ceramic coated. Since I have an all black HYM, either in black matt or chromex polished.
I'm wondering if anybody have experience with ceramic coated exhaust pipes. Especially I am interested how the coating looks like after driving through rain and how easy is to clean them.
Found this german webpage http://www.exhaust-coating.de/ which could do the job.
Please post pics

I did mine in black, love it. It doesn't clean, gets dirty easily and stays that way. But I don't wash my bikes and sort of like them a bit dirty. I've got a couple smudges from boot rubber and those won't come out either.

Agree with JW... the pipes look great black....worth the money. If you like shiny, I had a set on another bike Jet Hot coated. That looked really nice too.

boot marks and about anything else will come off with zylene without hurting the finish. Goof off is a product that is mostly zylene and will work also but costs a lot more. I buy zylene by the gallon at home depot. use it on the plastic on my dirt bikes also.

Silver ceramic on stainless steel. About 15k miles as a daily driver on these.
I understand the silver does a better job at killing the heat than the black.

So the Goof Off won't damage the plastics? I always thought it would. Will use to clean the burned rubber. Thanks for the tip.
