Bleeding brakes and EBC HH pads for teh win

Well, my front brakes on my '08 Hypermotard standard, didn't impress me. The upgraded brakes on my '07 Yamaha FZ1 were considerably better. Granted, they were upgraded rotors, lines and pads plus CRG levers, but I thought that the radial mount Brembo's on the Duc would be at least as good.

They weren't.

So I bled the lines today and replaced the fluid with an $18 bottle of Motul stuff, the best stuff my dealer had in stock.

I also took out the stock pads and put in the EBC HH sintered pads.

Made a huge difference. The brakes are now on par with the upgraded FZ1 brakes. Not bad for $70 worth of pads and a bottle of fluid.

Not to mention that they are not fully heat cycled so the should get better.

The fluid part was a waste of money but the pads are decent.

Well, I figured that if I was gonna bleed them, I would use the good stuff. It was the Motul RBF600 or something like that. Flushed out some bubbles, and some traces of black gunk.
