Rear spools

I put on a set of Motovation rear spools today. Are the supposed to spin with my tire, or do I have them on to tight?

That is too funny... I've had mine on for about 400 miles and just walked out to the garage to see what mine did.

They do spin with the wheel. (At least mine do too, that is.)

I let a friend ride my hyper. I saw them spinning and made him stop the bike because I thought they were ready to fall off. I never realized that they needed to spin with the wheel.

I didn't think they would spin either. I bought this rear stand mostly for chain maintanance, cleaning, and applying lube. Pop it in gear and let idle while the wheel spins. I ordered the rear sliders the same day I ordered the stands.... If I would have known, I would have went a different route.

I see you removed the charcoal canister (as you posted). How does it run?

Too bad you went with the red

Yeah, only took it for a 10 mile test run, but seems to run fine. I wanted a red bike for safety reasons. I do like the black ones better, but most riders I know that were hit buy cars was because they weren't seen by the drivers. That's why my helmet and jacket are red too. I'd rather be safe than look cool....

Question Weird...

Funny...

I have been in the car business for years, and too many years ago Mercedes-Benz commissioned a study about safety and the colors of cars - i.e. What was the safest color to drive. The results were interesting, to say the least, and I remember they shocked me somewhat...

Now I am recalling this from memory, but I will try to find the article so I can be sure, but as I recollect some of the results were as follows:

The two "safest" colors, or those that had been involved in the fewest accidents, were White and Light Blue.

Silver and most of the mid-range metallics like gun metal grays and champagne golds were in the medium range.

Then Blacks, Dark Blues, Forest Greens, etc..

Colors most likely to be involved in accidents? Red and Yellow.

And this study took both daylight and night into account, however it didn't really matter. Merc-Benz did some spectral studies and evidently Red is just as hard to see at night as Black. White and Light Blue were the best in daylight or darkness, too.

I remember thinking "Yellow? You would think people could see that!"

Red, too.

Just FYI... Now back to your regualrly scheduled programming. Sorry for the sidetrack.
