OK.... I used pieces of 1'' wide 1/8'' thick aluminium strap.
Cut 2 pieces that bolt to the mufflers where cut at aproximatly 6''.
I then drilled hole in the strap to line up with the bolt holes in the muffler where the stock setup bolts on. Drill the holes big enough that there is a little bit os wiggle room front to back...about an 1/8th of an inch.
I then used a vise and bent the 2 strip a 45 degree angle. I just eyeballed the angle. Its important that both pieces are bent the same whatever that angle may be.
Then I bolted those 2 pieces on to the bike, and adjusted the fit. Basicly you want the parts to along the muffler and then bend down and cross over each other making and "X".
I then clamped them together at the "X" drilled and riveted it in the center.
For the part the Plate actually bolts to I used a store bought piece just cuz I had it handy. It would have be east to make one. All that you would have to do it cut a piece of strap 10'' measure 1.5'' off each end and bend it back 90 degrees. The drill the holes for the plate and the blinkers.
Then you take that piece clamp it onto the "X" and rivet it on with atleast 3 if you have room 4 rivets.
I didnt leave room for a light above my plate but it would be easy to do that if you are worried about that kinda thing.
The 1st pic is from the top after unbolting from the mufflers. The 2nd pic is the bottom of the bracket. So my pics are blurry its a cell phone pic
