I agree thats just stupid $$ for a pipe kit. You can get all of the ridability improvements with just the ECU. The stock cans sound better once the bike is running richer, especially with the cat eliminator.

Full Zard Penta and TopGun are only $1400 and $1300 respectivly.

There is a vendor on this list that sells them (DesmoWorks, I believe).

Better looking and the clear choice for me if I ever change.

Thumbs up Pipe & ECU

For what it's worth...

I purchased a Quat-D exhaust from Motowheels for $899 and bought Ducati Performance ECU's from posters here on the forum. One was from the cams kit and the other from the Termi "Race" 2-into-1 kit, and paid $300 for one and $350 for the other. I got both because I wanted to have some flexibility when it came to other mods I might make.

Cost with both ECU's was still under $1550, and with one no more than $1250.

Here's a link for the exhaust:

I should also mention here that the guys at Motowheels are great to deal with and because of their terrific service I have bought more stuff from them since.

Just FYI...

So how about this, LV cat eliminator, hole in airbox, and ECU from cam kit plus the tuning. Will that work? Can you get the extra power without the LV ends? I like the look of the stock ones. If not, can you take the sticker off the LV?

Anyone in Sacto have the LV setup? I'd like to see and hear it...
