Replacing the stock headlight assembly
Replacing the stock headlight assembly. Yes, removing the "Duck Bill". Ducati's $1500 duck bill head light is the only part of the HyperMotard I really don't care for.
Has anyone changed the headlight on there HyperMotard?
Below are some mockups I've made, trying to deside what would look best.
Any ideals or suggestion are welcome...
Stock
Stock Cut (Roland Sands Style)
Monster
Hesa Fairing Type 6
Ghezzi-Brian Furia
GSG Square Headlight
GSG Fairing MO1K
Bike Side - Future 1
Bike Side - Striker 3

Actually, Beauty is in the behind of the holder!
I like my Daffy Duck Bill, can you do a photoshop on the standard headlight but incorporating the two rectangular holes bottom centre but dropping straight down with a small chin spoiler at bottom triple clamp height as per GS1000S or ZRX12 Eddie Lawson. That would tidy up the void underneath Roland Sand version.

I never let a minor issue like body work be a deciding factor in purchasing a vehicle.
Now, not being happy with the performance of my Monster took some time to correct. But it has been a fun project too.

Now can you do something like a front fender that attaches just under that fork brace that's exposed. Most motard fenders attach right under there even if it just a half fender from back to front. Opposite of the stock one over the wheel.

I had one of these in 1980. The S model fairing has the "splitter lip" that shrouds the lower clamp. If I am interpreting Ghezzi correctly, he wants to see that feature merged with the stock headlamp cowl.
