Is the DP Racing seat worth it?
I dont mind the regular seat when I've got my leathers on , but with anything other than those, my nads take a bit of a pounding. My bum doesnt get sore on the seat ( until after a few hours-but by then I'm out of fuel anyway!), so its not too uncomfortable for me.
Given those two things, is it worth the money ( other than it looks good)?

I got it cause i thought the stock seat felt too wide. The DP seat is alot narrower.

I love a wide seat, it suits my fat .................................. never mind, anyway I had a local upholsterer insert 'memory foam' so it can remind me how fat my aarrrrr ........................ forget it.
It's comfortable and looks good with a new red and black skin on it.

I am eventually going to get the comfort or racing seat. The stocker makes my arse fall a sleep. Would the owners of the racing seat consider it to be more comfortable than the stocker?

I ordered the comfort seat and the dealer sent me the racing seat instead. I didn't know the difference so I installed it thinking I had the right one. I've been happy with it so far. It's definately a lot more comfortable than the stock seat is. I think I'll be keeping it.
The only reason I wanted the comfort seat is because it's susposed to be 20mm lower. I have short legs so that would help out nicely.

I have the racing seat for 2 weeks now and commute everyday. Flat, sticky, and not angled towards the tank, so my nads dont get smashed anymore from hards stops. I love it. I worry about its durability.

As far as IF its worth the $$$......@ $200 its damn near the cheapest aftermarket accessory/upgrade you can buy!
I added mine right off the show-room floor soo I've never ridden w/ a stocker.
Most supermoto seats are cut down in the front to keep you from sliding in your seat. (I just compared it to SUPERMOTO..... )
IF you cut your own seat and recover it blah blah blah your time and money spent, to me, is more than $200.

I bought my Hyper with the DP Racing seat installed. It's hard for the first 1-2 months but once it breaks in it's quite comfortable. I Like the way it looks, I like the grip it provides and I like the seating position. I tried my stock seat a few weeks ago just to see the difference.... OWWWW MONKEY ASS TIME!
Stocker is back in the box never to see the light of day again.
