seat questions?????
What are the differences in the DP comfort vs the DP race seat? and how do they compare to the stock seat?
Im thinking of getting the comfort seat, but Want to know if it might hinder some trackday agression.

I just recently installed the race seat,I was somewhat concerned about hardness,so put it off but after 2500 miles on the stock seat i just couldn't tolerate the way it pushed you into the tank and it made my ass numb.I'm wasn't interested in the comfort seat,I don't prefer soft seats.after several hundred miles on the race,I wish I would have busted the move sooner,I find it comfortable, much more freedom of movement, and keeps the boy's from being pushed into the tank, and haven't experienced any numbness after a three hour ride, not to mention how good it looks,my rides are much more enjoyable without having to be distracted by a sore butt.

Ditto for the comfort seat..............looks great, feels great, is great. The only complaint I have with it, is that if you park it in the sun the gel seems to retain a lot of heat once you get back on the bike to ride.
Out!

I love my comfort seat. Much better on the arse and boys plus the added bonus of the looks.

I also have the Comfort Seat. It IS different than the Race Seat, but not sure what the difference is. I know that the comfort seat is lower, and does have a gel. I do think it's much more comfy for long rides. Yeah, pretty much any black seat will get hot in the sun, but the gel does hold it longer. Not really an issue though. The only thing is "for me" is it seems to be tacky. It's hard to shift to turn. Meaning my jeans don't slide easy from side to side for hang-off riding in turns. I don't know if it's me or what. Most likely it "is" me. I'm not by any means an expert rider....LOL I'm very happy with the seat. Much better than the stocker for sure. Yeah, more roomy for the boys. But then again, my stomach is a bigger issue...... ....

What does the comfort seat look like vs. the racing seat?
I ordered what I thought was the comfort seat but after reading this, it sounds like I might have the racing seat. My seat is definately more comfortable than stock but it doesn't feel any lower or feel like it has any gel in it. It has kind of a carbon fibre type pattern on it and there is an area with grippy material where my knees are. It also says Ducati Performance on the back.

That is the racing seat. The comfort seat has a red, stitched stripe running horizontally between two different types of fabric. You can see an image of it over at ducati.com under the accessories section.

Ah damnit. The dealer messed up then. I doubt he'll correct that for me.

if you decide you want to get sell the Seat you have let me know. I want to buy either the race seat or the comfort seat I think I like the way the race seat looks alittle better
