Sorry to hear that. I hope you get your bike back!
Me and my 75/5 moved from Los Angeles to Manhattan in 91. I sold my bike a short time later. Parking on the street was asking for trouble, parking in a garage was too expensive. The day I moved out of NYC I bought a bike and started riding again.

Fuck !!! I feel pain. Mine was stolen in Bklyn in april. Parked in front of my house, and it was gone in a hour and a half. This is strange as alot of people say they dont steal ducati's that often. I guess the bike is so sexy people cant help themselves.
I hope your insurance is quicker than mine was on getting you back on a bike.
I am so sorry man.

They must strip the bike down cuz I can't see how they would get around the security code for start up. The damn card I have and the procedure takes a frickin IT type dude to run.
Hope you have good luck on the recovery.
I park mine at the airport and expect to see it gone one day, so I keep theft ins. on it though it's a bit costly.
If the scum want the bike there really is not much to stop them, one can only make it more difficult for them.

Fork was locked. Bike was parked in front of a 24 hour diner... no one witnessed a thing.
Cops told me that bike thieves in NYC usually come with a van and just throw it in the back.
I am not sure if I will get get another one?!?!? Maybe with LoJack... Alarm... not sure anymore.

Lojack is the way to go. Alarm doesn't stop them from stealing but Lojack can get it back. Lojack has also lead the cops to locations with lost of other bikes. So one Lojack hit can recover several bikes and break up a theft ring.
