Ouch! Bet that hurt, that's 190kg wet. Don't tell the nippon crotch rockets, we just lost our advantage.

Just read magazine article that actually weighed an 1100S without fuel, 431lbs or 196kg.

That means our beloved Italian marketing men have fallen for the Oriental way of bullshitting when advertising.

At least Ghezzi & Brian weren't telling fibs about the Fionda at 174kg oil no fuel. I hope?

Brother, it gets worse....

This from Ducati's website: * = The weight excludes battery, lubricants and, where applicable, cooling liquid.

No battery?? WTF?

as a marketeer, i can advise that marketing is marketing, regardless of country of origin.

question: how can you tell when a marketeer is fibbing?

answer: either his lips are moving or his fingers are typing.

Sport Rider said that the Hyper is 433 wet with fuel making the 418 wet with the 2-1 dead accurate. I know because I read Sport Rider mag's HM-S article every night and twice on weekends!

Ghezzi, we still have our advantage. Ever run behind a repli-racer and know that you can turn underneath him in every corner? Not that I have firsthand knowledge or anything like that.

Did you just refer to yourself in the 3rd person?

unlikely, unless the ghezzi who makes those cool mv racers in italy, moved to oz (stranger things have happened, so i am leaving myself some wiggle room here )

http://www.ghezzi-brian.com/models_stw.htm

and for the record, johnchypermotard never speaks of himself in the 3rd person.

I weighed my hyper at the track almost full of fuel. I used the Nascar scales and it came in at 373 ready to go. I had removed the hand guards and tailight assembly. I also have the slipons with Zard headers and no cat and no exhaust servo. The scales were accurate as I weighed myself after the bike, and it had my weight exactly.

So I think it's easy to loose some serious weight by dumping some of crapy parts that come on the hyper. The termi slipons aren't very light either, I think some Arrows or Zard's would be even lighter. An aluminium subframe and some BST wheels and you be around 355? Or you could go on a diet.

I wish. I had my heart set on one of their creations, the Hyper S was the cheap alternative. Now, I could only own a stock Guzzi some time after I purchase a Zimmer!
