Dan obtained a DP damper to compare with the Ohlins and while the DP damper looks good it is weak and not very smooth. The Ohlins is adjustable and has a higher rate of damping compared to the DP unit. Dan is also looking into revalving the internals to get an even higher rate of damping and greater range of adjustment.

The mounting kit will include longer studs for the ignition switch mounts to secure the bottom mount to the frame.

Hi Peter,
It looks pro, did you go to our usual goat trails to try it in action?
Let's catch up to see it in person, that is exactly what I was waiting for!
Christian.

just for looks why not have the top bracket on the handle bars connect to the damper as opposed to having the right side so high? this is just a thought.

You mean a one-piece bracket/top handlebar clamp? Thanks, I'll mention that to Dan.

Probably not... Dan is looking into stiffening up the Ohlins not the DP unit. The Ohlins is already heavier (at its heaviest setting) than the DP Unit but Dan wants to add to the adjustment range to make it even heavier. The wide bars on the HM provide a lot of leverage.

Didn't hit the goat trails yet, just some roads on the way back to San Jose from Sand City. Had a dog training class to get to so I didn't have a lot of time to ride today. On the way home, I rode into a stiff headwind. Cranked up the damper to full max, kept my head down and hung on. Maybe we can meet up over the weekend and you can try it out.

i just think that having the top bracket all one piece same dimension would look better as opposed to having the right side higher. just my opinion.
