now thats good news. i think that he is a very good rider but i do not understand why he wont go to world sbk or moto gp. a few years ago when world sbk and ama were at laguna and the two classes raced at the same time, he backed out.

Because he has a high paying job in the US with a LOT less travel and he gets to spend a lot more time with his family. He couldn't get the same money in Europe.

As for the Laguna race - he has a job to do for American Suzuki. Taking a chance at something going wrong in the GP race and spending that much time on another machine means he doesn't do his job properly.

dude first off don't ruin another thread. second nicky hayden did it in previous years. also spies did it and so did aron yates. in ama its always mladin or spies. when you are at that level, get off ur ass and race the best. i think he is a poser. yes he would beat me in a race in only first gear but grow some balls and try racing another class to see if you really are that good. it wont happen but id love for nicky hayden and john hopkins to come to ama superbike.

93, please pay attention to this one thing if nothing else - racing is what I do. This is not an area where you running your mouth will gain you anything.

Just because you think you'd take a 50% or more pay cut to spend more money traveling and more time away from your family doesn't mean Mladin is that stupid. He races for a living, not to prove something to you or anyone else.

As for how fast he is, he can run with Ben and Ben proved he can run in GP's on a bike that isn't all that with very little time on the bike - so Mladin knows what he can do there as well. Nothing to prove, no need to waste the effort and lose the paycheck.

Nicky Hayden also just broke his foot doing a Supermoto race at the Xgames and knocked himself out of Moto GP for a while. That's the kind of thing Mladin was probably trying to avoid when he backed out of participating in another series. I don't think Mongo is the one ruining the threads around here.
