Question What does the HyperMotard redline at?

Not to sound like a total 'Tard , but what what is the redline of the HyperMotard?

Even the Google machine just gives me the marketing stuff.

And the Correct Answer is???

I think it's 8750, I have noticed on mine with the DP ECU (full Termi) that I get red flashes from the instrument cluster at 7500 and rev limiter at....something higher (8750??), I'm usually just trying to stay on the machine.

Really 8750?

I guess it makes sense. All those years of smaller displacement bike gets me used stratospheric redlines above 10k. Even the 749 was at 10.5 or something. Albeit it didn't have 76ft/lbs of torque though.

Unless you've got cams and some other work done, they fall flat well before that anyway.

From the Dynos I've seen the motor signs off before 8K. When you see the flashing red light, upshift and hang on.

In the owner's manual it says 8700 rpm. Really no need to wring it's neck though...5000-7000 seems to be the fat part of the powerband.
