Air Box Mod

I still can't find the thread that shows pics of where to put the hole in the airbox for the airbox mod for the hyper. Evap is gone and I like it. I'm working on access to the fuel and timing maps through ECMSPY and a laptop, and exhaust mods will follow.

Don't have my old cover at hand, but if I remember correctly, you basically end up drilling out the round Ducati logo which sits directly over the air filter.

I called a Ducati dealer to ask them the price for just the DP airbox, and the guy told me to get a 2.5" holesaw and drill out the top.
I can't say which dealer it is but let's just say that it's one of the biggest and most known in the U.S.

It's really easy to figure out where. when you flip the cover over, you can see exactly where the holesaw fits in. It's really a no brainer.

I will buy it once someone tells me what it does and the effects are? What do I need to do to the ECU for it to run right?

I read the threads, good info with pics too!

How about riding in the rain afterwards? I ride to work and back and often kick ass storms pop up at quitting time. It is a 30 mile ride home. I want the extra cooler air, but I don't want to risk water in the airbox. Anyone have any experience with this?

I've been caught in T-storms a couple times with no problems, but FLA is another class of T-storms! I thought about this issue too. All you need to do if your worried is carry a rag in your jacket and stuff it under the front of the tank between the tank and airbox to block any splash water if it looks like rain.
