Anyone moved their mirrors up?

Has anyone mounted their mirrors using the DP kit? Did it really come with a aluminum colored bracket?!?!

Still hard to see what's behind you or are the vibes better mounted to something solid?

Someone posted a pic of his bike with those mirror extensions installed, looked really cheesy. Those extensions for the stock mirrors actually screw into the little port on the levers that's covered with the black plug.

Here's the thread with pics of a bunch of alternatives:

Mirror alternatives... what mirrors do you have

I was considering those extensions as a cheaper alternative until I saw the pic, now I'm going with the DP relocated mirror kit with the signals(which does come with the aluminum clamp), about $200 more than the extensions.

Not sure this is the same kit. It replaces the part that hold the clutch master cylinder to the bar. Then the extension screws into it. I had a ktm that did the same thing with a Magura master cylinder, but at least it was the same color as the one that I took off!!

That is the clutch and brake bleed and they don't screw into that.

I have bought black Monsta 696 mounts ready to go.

Thanks for the link, ZoeTard. Doesn't really appeal to me. Saves about 6 inches total.
Do the 696 mirrors mount up? Those would look better imho.
