Cruising RPM

Where do you try to keep the revs when generally cruising along?

I have been trying to keep it between 4k and 5k.

Curious if anyone knows something about this.

That sounds about right, I try to keep it right around 4800 to 5100 when cruising down the freeway or in fuel conservation mode (when the fuel light comes on and I'm 20 miles from the next gas station). That's right around where the engine produces peak torque.

Me too. That's where the engine's happy zone seems to be. Unusual for such a torquey engine to feel so unhappy at lower revs but this engine does.

Ditto - between 4K and 5K, but mostly 4K to 4.5K.

between 4-5k feels normal.

3500? you're lugging the engine that low during your breakin period?
