Hi-Comp Pistons

Anyone put in hi-comp pistons yet? What did you think? Where does it add power?

I'm going to have cams installed before too long and I thought that while they are inside the engine that I might as well have hi-comp pistons put in at the same time.

Comments?

The HC pistons will increase power everywhere! The downside the bike will
run hotter, so you might want to get a bigger oil cooler, and with our JUNK
GAS! I would not go over 11.5 CR, I'm probley going to run 11.25's (stock is 10.5)
as I travel to Mexico and have to run their really bad gas! Aloha Alex

PS: the HC pistons seem to help lessen the "DIP" in the TQ curve that some members were getting with just the cams and stock pistons.

Can not tell you the difference of the pistons alone, I did all of mine at one time. The combination of 2n1 Termi, cams with a good degree job, head flowed, and hi-comp pistons ROCK. I have not had any heating issues in Mississippi. Definate two thumbs up. It is a beast. Enjoy...........

I haven't seen any for the 1100 yet. I've purchased hi-comp kits in the past from Chris Kelley at Ca-Cycleworks, but nothing is listed for the HM yet.

Anybody else?

Garth

Talk to Ben Brace at Atlanta Motor World he is the ducati tech and he can set you up with a set of CP pistons or Duc Shop in Atlanta,
GA has two different Pistal sets they carry. The number for Ben is 770-664-0820 or search for the Duc Shop in Atlanta, GA. Ben did a great job with my bike and I would highly recommend his services. Good luck.
