Exhaust Clamps

Where can you get a set of exhaust clamps for the Hyper? I think I stripped or cross threaded one of my clamps when I reinstalled my cat after I did the slip on. It is firm now, but probably won't be when I pull it again. I am going to be adding a Zard header and cat eliminator soon.

Maybe I can retap the threads.

Thanks!

Out!

Like $14 at dealer, but she says Ducati nows calls for the "fancier" clamp on the up pipe like on the headers. Hope that makes sense

That clamp is very prone to galling, I had the same problem. I used copper based anti-seize and it seemed to help quite a bit. I still plan to run a tap through it.

Where are you buying the Zard header from?

Yeah, I have never had a clamp like that with a bolt get cross threaded. I will probably put some antisieze in there next time around.

I am going to get the headers from Desmoworks. I assume they still have them. I am considering just getting the Leo Vince cat eliminator, and using the stock header and mid pipe. I figure I could clean up the mid pipe a little by removing the EXUP and filling in the holes. I am going to have them coated too.

Out!
