WBO2, CO% and idle

new to working on morotcycles, but familiar with tuning cars.

All the posts i've seen setting CO% & Idle use a CO gas tester. can you do the same thing with a Wide Band O2 (WBO2)? if so what values should i shoot for?

If you can measure A/F at idle/no load with your WBO2, 12.7 to 1 should get you in the neighborhood of 5% CO.

Taking it one step more, has anyone tried one of these?

http://www.wbo2.com/2j/default.htm

Looks like you can program the narrow band lambda signal for any reasonable AFR you want. This might work good with a stock ECU, as long as the trim limits are wide enough to accomadate the selected AFR.

Interesting device.

that product uses the Bosch WBo2 sensor, which is a common WBo2 sensor. the Bosch WBo2 sensor is also used by VW. i know this because i killed one of my sensors and went to VW for a quick replacement.

the narrow band (simulation). will allow you to fool the ECU when it's in closed loop operation. if you have a DP ECU, no need for the NBo2.

for the price, you can get the LC-1 from Innovate.

The Innovate is supposed to be one of the best, but their support seems questionable. I attempted to purchase one awhile back but they did not get back to me. I think the cost was in the neighborhood of $600. You would have to read off of both cylinders individually to check A/F ratios, then you would need a means of adjusting the fuel map for each cylinder (with a PC or Rapidbike module). It gets real expensive very quickly!

In the end, I started with a Rapidbike 3 module and base fuel map that was supposed to be close to my bike's configuration, then went about tweaking the map the same way I would jet a carburated bike. Got it very close and validated the A/F on a dyno and made some more tweaks after that. Pretty happy with the way it runs, pulls cleanly and throttle response is great with no surging or bogging.

tell me about it, but in the end it's worth it.
my Subaru WRX put down ~140whp stock, and now it puts down 330whp, BUT it took some $$$ to get there.

now if we could just get Desmosedici power out of the Hyper
