Any experience with Bridgestone BT016 or BT002RS?
Either of them a good replacement for the BT014?

Once my Michelin 2CT wear out, I'm going to try the Bridgestone BTO16's
with the 3 compounds (rear) 2 compounds (front), and if I don't see a major
differance in performance on a Track day, I'm going back to the Pirelli
Syncs, a good tire with decent mileage. If you get the Bridgestones before I
do, post up, and let us know how they work. Aloha Alex

Had a set of 016s put on my 999R last Thursday, but only rode it a few miles afterwards.
I'm planning on doing a couple hundred today, so I can give a report this evening.

Did you ride the 016 on the track?
If so, how were they?

Any complaints about the Michelin 2CT? I was thinking of trying them when my BT014s wear out.

I tried the Michelin 2CT because I was told that they were THE TIRE to get for street/track performance, I really liked the Pirelli Corse III's but they wore out WAY too FAST! 1800mi and NO track days and mine were gone! then I switched to Pirelli Syncs, a GOOD all around tire, for bad roads, wet roads, dirty canyon roads, sandy gravely roads, and a OK tire for track day, but will slide out under power on the track, but thats OK because I kind of expected it, and to tell you the truth it was kind of FUN! the Pirelli Sync lasted 2500mi with 1 track day. I have 1 track day on the Michelin 2CT's and they they worked well, but would slide out under heavy power at deep lean angles, which I DID NOT expect! but they are a BETTER track tire than the Pirelli Syncs, but I think the Syncs are a better all around tire. The Michelin 2CT are still fairly new, so I'll post up later on the mileage I get out of them. Aloha Alex

from what I found out, the profile is similar to the 14's. I was actually going to mount a 16 on the rear along with the 14 front. I settled on the 21 Sport Touring tire instead because it was much more available and more fair priced.

I will have about 2600+ miles on the rear Michelin PP 2CT and should get two to one on the front. I don't due track days, but some moderately aggressive riding in the twisties and more agressive in the straights and sweepers. I ride a little around town, but not much.
I have never felt any sliding under my normal use. I did experience a little sliding on two occasions leaned over in some very gusty winds. I attribute that to the lightness of the bike more than anything.
I get the same performance from them on my FZ1. Considerably more power and weight and the mileage seems to be about the same. The Hyper may square off the tire a little quicker than the FZ1, probably due to the hard launches and roll ons.
My buddy really likes the new Pilot Roads better for all around wear and grip.
Out!

Hi , I rode 3600 km so far (should be 2800 miles) with the BT 016 . I purchased and installed them in Switzerland (I'm Italian but really I live really close to the border) for 280 Euro , 450 CHF , 435 USD .
BT 016 have a good grip , for me slightly better than the Dragon Corsa III .
Unfortunately I think they will last other 1000 km so totally 4600 km while the original Dragon Corsa III lasted 5700 km . But maybe I rode faster in 2008 compared to 2007 (when I had the 1000 km period of adjustment and I didn't know the bike so well) .
st2lemans , where did you purchased them and how much did they cost ??
