Busted
Well, I've been taking my time getting used to the HM. After all, it's a bit different than my WR 450!!
I decided to finally just let the HM rip. By that I mean finally push the throttle to the stops!
My timing is lousy!
60 seconds and two turns into my first attempt at max G forces on acceleration and BOOM, LEO lights.
The conversation started with turn off the bike, you will not be going home today. Then 2 more LEO vehicles for a total of five officers showed up. Now I'm getting very, very nervous.
I will not go through the whole 20 minute ordeal. However, after a much deserved education. I was told they thought the bike was stolen the way I was riding it. They proceeded to tell me it was an awesome looking bike and that I needed to be very careful so it's not stolen.
In the end they let me off. I will be giving thanks for quite awhile.
They did get my attention in a most serious way. But they were very professional in the way they brought me back to the ground. I'm too old to learn the lesson they taught. At least I should be too old. Turned me into a five year old and put me back together in 20 minutes. Very effective! A real embarrassment considering I have numerous relatives and friends in law enforcement. No, I did not drop any names. All my friends and family are 1,500 miles away!
I most definitely need to find a track day for the HM. I'm taking my YZ-fied WR (dirt bike) out tomorrow.
Be safe!

well I have never been told by an LEO that I was riding it like I stole it... Congrats on that, and yes it sounds like you are ready for some track time.
I did get pulled over once and the LEO told me that some people have called in on me and and the guy that I was riding with. Fortunatlly for me and my buddy we were going so fast that the people couldnt tell what color our bikes were...... I was on a RED 996, and mt buddy was on a BLACK CBR1000rr. We must have been going FAST!!!

Summit point, Shenandoah circuit. You'll have a permanent grin for days after, that circuit is just what this bike was made for.
Some pics here of me on mine last Monday there - http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/Thum...2&g=0SEI003B01

I'd vote for Summit Main not Shenandoah, too many walls too close for me.

Well, I have to say I'm sorry
The V-Strom magically turned into a Hyper S yesterday so I figured I'd come visit.
