Lightbulb I propose the following:

I was just thinking (doesn't happen too rarely) .....

Since most of us have mods that we're itching to get done - why don't we have a mod party?

We could all get together at a shop somewhere and borrow eachothers knowldedge and start swapping out parts?

I could potentially host, but need to double check first... In any case it would be somewhere near LA if and when it did take place.

I myself have a couple of things I'd like to get done (flywheel, pressure plate/cover, and 520 conversion) and would love to help out if necessary.

Let me know what you guys think.

I think he means help each other out with the installation of the parts that we all would order.

I hope you don't mean wire strippers....

That sounds kinda fun actually. I'd really love to put something shiny on my clutch, but haven't decided what to do yet.

I've done quite a bit on the bike already: HID, handlebar, "real" handguards, rear-sets, exhaust, airbox. i can help out with those.
still want to do: steering damper for sure, the flywheel gains sounds interesting, maybe levers and reservoirs, -1 front sprocket.

Lemme know if anything comes about on this. I'm in Lakewood so pretty close by and I can bring a stripper and beer too.

I'm also thinking about tackling the 7,500 mile service. I'm 1,000 miles away. Got the full shop manual, which is highly detailed and has great illustrations. The valve job doesn't seem too technical (I've done several on different bikes) and the cam belt tension is pretty straight forward. I love working on my own bike and being self-reliant in that regard. No way I'm looking to hand over several hundered dollars for a stealership to tweek a few things....but I may bring it by after the adjustments for some of the more technical tuning that requires computers and guages.

I will have a -1 counter available for sale as soon as the 520 kit arrives

Here is what I need done as soon as I get my bike back from Stig:
Flywheel
520
Clutch
Cams

I might wait on the cams though otherwise I will run out of mods to do and suffer violent withdrawals.
