Motor, are you pleased
Are you guys pleased with the amount of motor that the hypermotard has or are you left wanting more. Just trying to get a feel.
Thanks!

I have to say I want more. I wish they could get another 10-15 HP and 10 more ftlbs of torque. For the price and the category I think the motor is a bit lacking but it's a fun bike. I'm having the cams put in next week with a 520 conversion, hopefully that satisfies for a while as I cannot keep dumping money into this bike to get it IMO where it should be stock

I'm happy with it - it's fun without being a handful.

I traded my 848 in on a Hyper S. At first, I found the bike was lacking that top end pull. After putting some kilometers on it, I found that I just needed to ride the bike differently. I now use the torque the motor makes and I absolutely love the motor. In my opinion, it's the best street motor I've ever tried. It's deceptively fast and such a fun motor for bombing around town.
With that being said; however, I will be adding the full Termi system, cams, hi-comp pistons, lighter flywheel and 520 chain/sprockets as the funds allow. This is a bike I plan on keeping for a while so I don't mind modding a bit.

mdemers883, sounds like you rode a baby harley sportster or your about to turn 25 in August. Whatever, the Hyper is a ball in stock form, the mid-range grunt will absolutely sling shot you from corner to corner on any tight and twisty mountain.
If you like open roads and high speeds over 200kph this might not be the bike you want, but 160kph comes up real quick without trying. Some here have done 1/8 mile drags and killed litre sports bikes, that's an indication of it's accelerative force. Stock it pulls 2nd gear power wheelies and will do 3rd gear uphill, no clutch dumping required. If you want more, "What price satisfaction"?

Sorry NOT pulling any REAL liter bikes here. I love my HM but it is no GSXR 1000 or R1 in a straight line.

All my mods have been to get the engine to spin up/rev out quicker, not to get more power
