Welcome to the fold Jonno, see 'Infidel' (Brad) postings here, he is a Sydney sider. If you ever go Hyper Touring to S.E. Qld, look me up.
If you check Aussie section of ducati.ms you'll find more comrades.
(BRAD, can you call me regarding ECU. 0400 816 885 or duchyp@yahoo.com.au)

One would think that grown men could be more mature, but they don't understand or have no passion. I feel sorry for the brain dead masses.
Myself, after 50 years and almost 40 bikes nothing has changed, once I've signed the paper I cannot sleep until my new baby is home ................. then I want to sleep in the garage.
But I do know that maturity is catching up with me, the "Novelty Period" of new ownership seems to last much longer now. Had the last bike for 3 years.
Sorry jp, gotta go, I have to ride my Hyper ........... again.

Jonathan, Yeah i'm in Sydney as are PedroHM and Matt2065. I've got a black S and also have a SXV550. Don't worry tiger after owning/maintaining the SXV you'll find the hyper a godsend, real easy to live with. They are a bit harder to lean, but don't have any of the SXV's shortcomings.

yeah.. i must admit, i'm going to miss the sxv but i'm sure the reassurance that 1. it'll start and 2. the motor wont grenade and 3. i can go more than 80 without a fill will be good!
cant wait.havent been this excited since i bought my last brand new bike....a sachs Madass 125!!!!
i'm sure i wont be disappointed- i hope its 80% the fun of the sxv with a lot less of the compromises.
how can you have so many bikes in your stable???lucky so and so

I wouldn't count on going much more than 80 without a fill. If you do any mods to the exhaust, your mileage will drop dramatically from what I've read.

well well well.... what a cool set of motards! The hyper will feel like a couch compared to the bikes you've owned. PLUS! you don't have to change the oil everytime you rev the piss out of it like you do on the SXV....
....and I'm an SXV mega fan! but holy man fan... that bike is a twitchy little maintenance fun bag.
The hyper is your first street bike against the list you submitted above. Enjoy!!
