Experience with Power Commander

What's up

Anybody with feedback on the PCIII ?

worth getting?

Also, if you get cams and the ecu from Ducati, will the PC work with the new ecu?

Besides everything else I just love the fact that you can also now use the quickshifter with it.

I noticed that there is a stock map available. Is there any advantage by using the PCIII on a stock bike?

On Craigslist (Orange county) there's someone selling for 269 with a free dyno run and he'll build maps for you if you change your setup. He'll ship with a custom map if you're not in the area.
I have no experience with them, just noticed while searching for ducati parts.

What about getting the race ecu *and* the PCIII?

I guess my question is this: When you get the cams, you get an updated ecu. What if you can get cams really cheap, but they don't come with the ecu - will the PCIII get the same results? -OR- is it better to get the new ECU *with* the PCIII?

Hopefully I'm more clear now...

The PCIII won't change the stock ECU settings below 25% throttle, so you pretty much have to get the performance ECU if you want to use the PCIII.

Also, the DP ECU from the cam kit has a little more ignition advance dialed in. I don't think you can alter ignition advance with just the PCIII USB EX (for the stock ECU). You will need the separate Ignition module which I think is only available for use with the PCIII USB Race.
