Riding Gear for the Rain?

Hey,

What do you guys recommend for riding in light rain? I live in Vancouver, BC and, for a good portion of the year, it rains often. I won't be riding if it's absolutely pouring out; but, if it's just lightly raining, it would be nice to still ride without getting soaked. I don't imagine that any of my rides in the rain would be longer than 30 minutes or so.

Will a good leather jacket work okay in a light rain? I'm thinking of getting a Dainese-Ducati leather jacket. I just don't want to ruin the jacket by wearing it in the rain.

My other thought was to get a waterproof textile jacket. The only thing with this is that most of the waterproof jackets are styled really weird. They are not something I would want to wear on a day to day basis when the weather is decent.

Any suggestions?

I've had several pieces of gear from this company for several years. I got caught in a deluge last weekend and stayed dry. If you can find something in their collection that does not appear odd to you, its damned good stuff. Hit the home button and take a look.

In the land of rain...we usually take all our kit off and ride naked just to prove how hard we are ;-)
