Do you have to have a crush washer? {oil change blues}
And where do you find a bigass allen to remove the screen

Both the drain plug and screen plug use crush washers and you should use them for sealing and too prevent stripping out the threads. You should be able to reuse them if they aren't too deformed. For the screen plug, you'll need a 14mm allen key/socket. I got mine from Harbor Freight.

I found a set of big allen head drivers (1/2 Drive Large Hex Bit Socket Set 3/8", 1/2" , 9/16", 12mm, 14mm, 17mm) at amazon for under 12 bucks. Bring on those big bolts.

Damnit Ducati could have at least put a head on the oil screen bolt...
I guess weight saving is why they chose a big ass allen bolt
Italian design is really pretty well thought out
Thats why we pay more and get a badass machine like the Hyper
Afterall Ducati is really the "Ferrari" of the motorcycle world

For that big arsed 14mm allen head oil screen bolt, just take any bolt that has a 14mm hex head and put 2 nuts of any size on it and lock 'em together. Put the head in the hole and a spanner on the inboard nut and turn anti-clockwise. Eh!

I woulda just bent a longer 14mm head sized bolt over into a "custom" allen wrench.

May as well try. If it screws up the head of the screen, you can always cut it out with a torch later.

They have two stores in Houston.
