Another Proud Owner
Just bought an S model tonight. Man o man I love it. I dont know what it is about it, comfort(seat sucks but ergonomics are awesome), the nice ducati sound, all the goodies on it, power everywhere. Tonight I went to Starbucks and I was sitting there looking at people looking at it as if two hot chicks were making out on a dance floor. Down the road Ill get other bikes, but hopefully Ill keep this bike with me for a long time. Next week I will complete my MA degree so this is a grad school gift.
Mods - Factory Ducati Steering Damper.

You got yourself an awesome bike, congrats and I'm glad you seem so excited about it. Also congrats on getting the MA degree. So you got the steering damper, what do you think will be next?

thanks for the warm welcoming. my next mod - clutch cover. i wont do an exhaust, maybe come carbon goodies. id like to clean up the rear end. other than that, not sure. a different seat might be in the cards, the stock one sucks. but i have only ridden with thin trendy jeans on, not my suit, so time will tell.

You won't do an exhaust? This is my quote when I bought my standard HM last summer 'The bike's great as it is, I'm not even going to fit a teeny number plate on it'
Tomorrow I pick up my brand new S with race cams, full zard system, Rizoma rearsets, carbon everything, 520 DP chain conversion etc etc etc.
It's infectious! Watch out!

yeah i have heard, the open clutch is a good idea but i dont want tiny pebbles to get inside between the plates. thats my concern. since i am going to keep this bike for along time(thats the plan) i want to keep it stock. i dont have a bike, i have a toy that i never got when i was a child. this is an amazing bike that is just awesome and i really like it. down the road spring 09 or spring 10 ill get something different but i want to keep that bike. even if it gets to the point where it wont run, just to look at is art.
