Synthetic Oil Question...
Anyone ever hear of or used "Golden Spectro" Synth oil? Dealer used it in my HMS (15w50) at the first service and for the life of me I've never heard of it... the service manager swears it's DNA approved, yada, yada... personally, I think they're trying to save a buck... although at $13 a liter, they're probably making a bit too!
Thoughts?

It's very common here in So Cal... I used to buy it by the gallon. It was available at all the major bike shops. Never heard a bad thing about it and the company rep used to go to all of the bike shows at the dealerships. I wouldn't hesitate to use it...

It's one of the more popular motorcycle oils in some circles. No worries, but it's expensive. Who ever heard of AGIP?

Spectro is excellent oil. I had a 04 RMZ250 and everybody on a lot of other oils was having a lot of wear problems on the cams and buckets. I never had any of those problems and swear by spectro and klotz products. I ended up running mobil1 motorcycle oil in my ducati because I could not find a local dealer that stocked the aformentioned oils.

Good stuff!
Spectrol is a decent oil, and there are many good oils for the Hyper, if you ride hard, just change it often, I change my oil & filter every 2500 mi. and use
Mobil 1 Raceing 10W40W or Amsoil 10W40W motorcycle oil, Aloha Alex

I have used it in my dirt bikes when I raced motocross and desert. Never a problem.
In the 70's when I took up racing a 750 Honda I used Shell aircraft engine oil and was pretty happy with that, expensive even then but it was the only place I could lay my hands on syn oil for an aircooled engine.
Here is a web-site to read if you are bored and or interested.

Oil's oil, they all work fine.
But if you really want a recommendation, I use Motorex Power Synt 10W/50 in all my Ducatis, and Castrol RS 10W/60 in my Guzzis.
Motorex is the cheapest full-synthetic I can find.
I'd use the Motorex in the Guzzis too, since it's a lot cheaper than the Castrol, but I can't find it in 10W/60.
