Clutch sound - Not the dry kind

My Hyper has an occassional noise that I'm not used to even though I had a 916 with open clutch for years. I kinda sounds like a couple of dimes in a carbon clutch cover (if that makes sense). It's happened on decceleration with mild engine braking and some times when I pull the clutch in, especially just at the point of disengagement. Do they all do that or is mine special, in a bad way. This afternoon, I took off the cover and checked for anything obvious. I didn't want to take the whole side cover off.
None of the springs were loose and there were no nicks or scratches inside the cover.
Anyone with ideas or a similar experience?
Shifts fine and has about 1800 miles.....

Sounds normal to me. Mine sounds like a roll of pennies came loose in the wash and is rattling around in the dryer......

If your clutch feels fine then I wouldn't worry too much about it. You might want to take the air gun at it with the cover off to clear out some of the dust it has accumulated since you started riding it. See how it sounds then.

Maybe I should have said that it sounds like a 2 inch washer inside of an exhaust pipe.....since that's what it was. I was able to isolate the sound from the exhaust pipe. I guess when the previous owner/shop took out the flapper they left inside a washer. It was probably stuck to the inside of the pipe until the vibrations/heat cycles made it come loose. I guess it would jam itself at the bottom where the cat would have been and every once in a while the backpressure would blow it up.....anyway. About an hour to remove most of the exhaust and put it all back together.
So, if you're going to remove your flapper, make sure you get the dish shaped washer out!!!
