Are all Hypers 50 state bikes?
When I go to the DMV to transfer title to California, can I prove that this bike complies to CA emissions? Anyone know if there is a sticker or a Ducati NA page that declares a 49 or 50 state legal bike?

The VIN number should confirm that, if you buy it from a cali dealer you dont have anything to worry about

I know with dirt bikes, it has to have a 'c' or '3' in the eighth digit to be green sticker....mine's a 'P'. It came recently from Oregon. Just wondering if anyone had heard of a 49 state Ducati recently. I think all of the manufacturers are only making one model US bike now.

I bought in NC and had california emissions on the motorcycle. As far as I know all hypermotards are 50 state they did not make a separate one for Cali. Though I cannot totally confirm this beyond discussions on the board.

Cool. I looked at the stickers on bike and they only mentioned Federal standards. I'll take the manual into the DMV.

The emmision evaporation canister, I believe, is what makes it legal for CA. If you have purchased used and someone has removed the canister, like most of us do, you may have to re-install to register. I would expect that is, if the state wanted to do an inspection of the bike. Just a thought.
