I just finished a 6 day, 5000k ride from the prairies to The West Coast of Vancouver Island. Awsome riding and the bike worked perfectly. Stopped one place and apparently a guy was too busy staring at the Hyper and Ran his door into a Concrete Post. Huge scratch on his wifes new car!!! Feels good to have a hypermotard on days like that. Now its time for the 12000k service. Just wondering what some people have paid for this?

YOOHOO! HYPER TOURING. Way to go buddy but you beat me ya bastard! I've only got 11,250klm up so far, but the biggest trip has only been a 1500k weekend.

My dealer has fixed priced servicing for the new models, not sure if it's a global thing or just in Oz. I think 12k service is supposed to be $490 and the 24K is about a $100 dearer.

I am torn between them and a non-dealer Ducati specialist who is excellent to watch but his costs are $750 and $900 or there abouts.

I'll race ya to 24k

Thanks for the info. I hope its in the ball park like you said but I am worried about my dealer seeing that I paid $350 for the first oil change. Then I saw the whole thing about Ducati cracking down on dealers and creating the list that tells them how long things should take. Think I'll phone around and see what sumber's i hear and maybe make a trip somewhere else for the service. I'm down with the race to 2400k but got knee surgery sometime soon so you have a good chance. ITS ON!!!!

$350 for an oil change is a scam. I would take it somewhere other then the shop that charged you $350 thats for sure.
