twitchy throttle, full termi system

hey there,

I just had a full termi system put on my HM, and the throttle response was totally abrupt, so I brought it back and the mechanic took some "slop" out of the throttle cable, and richened the mixture slightly...

it's ok, but still a bit twitchy...and there is no room in the cable.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Matt

I took my Hyper w/ full 2-1 system in because it would no longer idle, throttle off, bike dies. Turns out the throttle position was off and they needed to rest the TPS. Why does this matter to you? Because all the throttle snatchiness disappeared. Between this and the suspension setup I had done I fell like I have a new bike.

I have to +1 the TPS. I'd say a little slop in the throttle usually makes it less snatchy for me. I rode mine for 300 miles without the TPS and fuel trim being adjusted. It was way too rich and had some nasty off-idle behavior. It was down-right raw sounding. I enjoyed the character of off idle gurgle and cracks, but my fuel economy went south and so did rideability.
