Front Rotors

Anyone have an idea what they cost.

I noticed some pulsation of the brake lever today so I threw a dial indicator on and my left rotor is warped. Puled the rotor and chucked it up and I can see the warpage.

If the stock rotor is pricey I'll go with an aftermarket one such as EBC or Galfer.

I am down on funds so I'll go with a good resaonable priced set of rotors. There are some killer rotors out there but the deniro is way to high for me.

I don't know what the stock rotors cost from Ducati but I'm going to take a wild guess estimate of $618.54... each.

I found the OEM for $366 each.

Yeah I would like to see if they would warranty the rotor but I suspect it was a dumbass move on my part that warped it.

So it looks like I can get a new OEM or go with something classy in the aftermarket world.

I like these:https://www.euromotoaz.com/store/car...ct_detail&p=25

The Cobra model looks good.

Me too....

I have noticed that my front brake lever "shudders" under hard breaking, so

my front rotors might be starting to warp, at a little over 5000mi I don't

think this should be happening, does anyone know if this will be a warrntee

issue? Aloha, Alex

Waranty, waranty, it's all under waranty.

Had both my rotors and pads replaced under waranty last Friday. They were on back order for about 10 weeks but we are talking N.F. Imports here in Oz.

When I first mentioned it to my dealer I was more concerned about the soft lever at first pull followed by a super grabby bight at the next, if I had two goes at braking for a corner. The pulsation at walking pace was of little concern because I don't ride in town.

However, during the 10 week wait I began to experience a massive shudder when braking hard at speed.

Did 500klm on the weekend. How are my new brakes? FANTASTIC!!!

Original brakes had massive instant bite when new, they were too sensitive.
I checked my old pads, they have a different Brembo part # to the new ones.
Old pads; TT2910HH 07.9882.10 (recorded on the back of the pad)
New pads; 98.5031.50 (Brembo brochure). 61340791A (Ducati part # 1098S).

The new brakes just have a very strong but progressive feel, perfect control. I locked the front several times over bumps on my Bitumen-cross track. The loud squeal from the 2CT let me know I was at the limit, gotta love'm.

Downside is, the brakes have again developed the 'pump-up' with a dual squeeze which we had originally thought was due to pad 'knock-off from the warped disc. But there is no pulsating as I stop this time.
Upside is, dealer previously suspected faulty master cylinder so that is already on back order. Keep you posted.

Looking like I'll go with 310mm rotors with caliper spacers. This should make for over kill braking.

Anthony is checking on a set for the HYM but there doesn't seem to be a lot out there right now.

Gheezi, 10 week wait! I am not that patient. Like to hear if the master fixes your issue.

Everything from Ducati or Aprilia to Australia is a 10 week wait!

Hey Big Horse, it's GHEZZI with a double 'Z' not ee .

Your smallest state has a bigger population and more Ducati sales than the whole of my country, and we live at the other end of the universe.

But we have tourist's rather than terrorist's .

So we have to be a little patient down here waiting for stuff, although Desmoworks usually get bits to me in 7 days, which reminds me, Anthony, where are my Zards?
