A few notes
I've got about 300 miles on mine since picking it up Tuesday. Already ditched the cannister, and also designed and fabed a plate/pin system to limit the flapper servo travel and eliminate the flapper without an error code, works great. I also removed a lot of play from the throttle cables. These three things smoothed it up a bit. Played around with suspension today a little but no real point until thats broken in.
It handles fantastic as expected in the tight stuff, but what I was really surprised at was how stable it is on the highway at speed. Its amazing for such a light short bike. I touched 100 mph without realizing it its so smooth, of course the wind blast lets you know but the bike is rock solid.
A few quick questions:
Think its OK to run the LV CAT eliminator with the stock exhaust and airbox lid in place without going too lean? I'm going to pull the header and oil screen for the 600 mile change and figured I'd pull the CAT as well and just do it then. I will be getting fuel managenent soon, and then do the airbox lid, followed by slipons in the future.
Gearing? Its a bit tall for my taste. I'm thinking 2 up in the rear would be good. Are there reasonably priced 525 rear sprockets for the stock carrier? I'll go 520 and a quick change later when I need to replace everything.

I think if you went with the LV cat eliminator and airbox cover you will most likely throw off the fuel ratio some but most likely not anything too detrimental. Especially if you are going to get a fuel management system soon after I wouldn't be to concerned. As for the rear sprocket I'm not sure where you can get one at a good price. I think the DP version is a little spendy as is everything from DP. I got the 14 tooth DP front sprocket and it made a noticeable difference with no negative effects that I can tell. It has made 2nd gear especially more friendly and I don't really notice much difference on the superslab. I know many feel it stresses the chain too much but I don't have the same opinion and for $50 bucks its a great mod. (I do realize it does crank up the lbs of stress on the chain some but I don't feel it is that much of an issue) Anyway goodluck and have fun moddin the Hyper.

Thanks. I don't think the 14t will be a problem either especially with a #525. I'll try it and see how I like it. If I think its too low I can go 15/44 later with the quick change AFAM carrier. I know the stock 15/42 is too tall as the bike almost lugs at anything below 75 in 6th, and since this is bad for a new motor I'm using 5th on the highway.
I'm waiting for a special version of the Powercard fuel controller, that has an O2 sensor baseline shifter. This is being marketed exclusivly by a Ducati tech who has done a lot of the development. Should be soon as the device is done and tested just the harness length details have to be finalized for production.

you may want to consider just using a hole saw to cut a hole into the stock lid. It seems that you are pretty crafty and like to do things yourself. It may be a way for you save a few $$$.

I'm waiting for the powercard to cure my bike. Website says Oct/Nov, earlier is better.

This is not a tuner directly from Dobeck, it will be mfg. by them for a Ducati dealer/tech that did a lot of the development. Should be soon. I stumbled on to this, and talked to the tech and people at Dobeck. I'm not sure if they want this product announced yet so for now I'll keep my mouth shut.
Should this not work out for any reason, it cant be that hard to make an O2 sensor emulator to keep the stock ECU happy and use a Powercard for say a Multistrada. I'm not inclined to spend big $$ on a DP ECU that I cant map anyway, this is relatively cheap and should get the job done well. As you know they work great on VRods.
