Hard luggage panniers
I've looking through this forum for some time and noticed a lot of hypermotard riders are looking for ways to carry luggage i.e. tank bags, bags tied to the rear of the seat, back packs etc. I too have been looking for something for 3 and 4 day trips. If only Ducati would make hard luggage to fit similar to the multistrada. I've seen pictures of these and didnt think they looked that good but when I seen them fitted to a multistrada in my dealers they really looked well, so much if they were available for my bike I would buy them. Alternatively if Givi made a rack to fit my subframe I would get them the Monokey V35 boxs at £295. Maybe Ducati or Givi will read this and take the hint.

I doubt they will because the HYM isnt anything really to do tours on, Givi would probably look into making one eventually

I have absolutely no doubt Ducati designed this bike as a toy and that is exactly what I use mine for, but since buying mine I have used it for long distances and it did it with no problems. I know I could have got a gold wing or something but what fun would that be. From the amount of people using this forum improvising to carry luggage I think there would be a demand for it. There is hard luggage available for fireblades etc. I do agree with you though, I doubt ducati will produce something. I hope Givi do.

There is a thread somewhere on here where a member talks about getting MTS panniers to work. If I could find a set of mounts I would try and fab something up. Maybe someone will post pics if they actually exist??

Brilliant idea, thanks, I knew there was intelligent guys with great ideas on this forum, do you know where I can get them. Was thiking about forward controls, footboards and a set of ape bars in the future but can only afford a few mods at a time. When I have them all fitted I will post some pics.

Thanks for the pic mike, i'll look into that forum. i do the coast frequently including torr head. The givi panniers would be fine if i could modify the rack. i will look out for your bike and might see you around.
