Taking the Hyper Up High - A Few Images
From today's lunchtime flying ride to nearby Echo Lake.
Many canyons currently have swollen white water streams, with the melting white up high the source. This is Clear Creek Canyon. Six tunnels along the way. One is tempted to go back and forth just to hear the Termi's in the tunnels...
One ascends 11,020ft. Juniper Pass to arrive at Echo Lake from the east. That's the Continental Divide on the horizon. Snow melt on this side makes its way to the Gulf. The Pacific is the destination on the other side...
At another angle. Can see the newly leaved Aspen groves amid the pines on the slopes...
Sigh... must descend 400ft. to Echo Lake. Pressed the shutter when the sun pointed the way and blessed the curve. See that faint line of white on the slopes upper left? That's the road to the top of 14,258ft. Mt. Evans. Highest paved road in North America...
Arrival at Echo Lake. The twisty ribbon of tarmac descending to the west is what the Hyper inhales/exhales for. Sorry, didn't pause for any pics.

Thanks for posting - very nice photos!
I waiting on the Hyper photo in the same corner as the Tri-Color picture - made for a very nice wall paper / background shot.
