Note For Owner's With (& without) DP Luggage Rack installing Zard Penta

A minor mod had to be done on the rearlights in order for the Zard Penta to fit if you have installed a DP luggage rack. You guys with these rack and thinking of installing a Zard Penta, do take note.

The black bit under the lights were grinded down to fit the silencers.

Also please note that we found the factory had wrongly wired the ground wire in the license plate light. On a stock, it rest on plastic. With the Zard, it rest on metal. The minute you turn the ignition, your fuse for lights will blow.

At the connectors near the battery, using a voltmeter shows that both wires were ground. Had us baffled for a while. then when inspecting the license plate light wiring at the unit itself, the wires were reversed.

Blew 4 fuses before we solved the factory's mistake

Your wish is my command, Master ...PTOOEY!!! Ha ha ha

Oh, forgot to mention a pleasant surprise, in Zard's web and all the sites, the "fins" were metal. When I got mine was happy to find CF fins instead

I had the same problem, I changed the bolt in the rear light to a plastic numberplate bolt that solved the problem of earthing, I only did three fuses in the learning process!
