False Neutral Light

My advice to those who are concerned about 'seeing green' but 'not getting green' is to pull the wire to the switch on the lower rear engine case. Now, you'll never be fooled because you will have 'learned' where neutral is through exposure and not by some iffy idiot light. After all, neutral lights are a relatively modern feature. "Never had 'em when I was coming up." And, you may save chasing your ride down the road.

They don't call them "idiot lights" for nothing. I've always taken them to mean "Your bike MAY be in neutral."

Exactly. When the green light is lit, the only thing you know for sure is that the light is working.

That said, I've never had an issue with either the GT or the Hyper not being in neutral when the light is lit. I've also never had problems finding neutral with either bike and, especially with the GT, the gearbox just kept getting better and better as the miles added up.

I'm hoping that trait is consistent with the Hyper.
