Anyone gone from Comfort Seat to Race seat?

Curious if anyone has done this switch. I am finding the comfort seat to be a bit too soft. I'm wondering if the extra support of the race seat helps at all for longer distances

Any feedback appreciated

I've actually got all three seats and prefer the race seat for everyday riding, for the long haul, I'm not so sure it would trump the comfort seat... it's just too hard and has a narrower profile. It just doesn't support your butt as well... in my opinion. The comfort seat also gets hotter due to the gel. The race seat may not be the iron butt choice, but I sure do love the looks of it best.

yep i agree. The race seat is great for everyday (shorter) riding. It is lower, narrower and keeps you in the forward position. I do feel a little bit more vibration through the race seat than the stock one though

I used to ride an SP2 with a basic plank for a seat, my butt was fine on that even doing 12 hour rides, when i started on the hyper my butt failed after about 30 mins! I knew my ass was tough enough so i took a teaspoon of cement and sucked it up! now my ass is ok using the std seat.

I think you'll just get used to it given enough time, I guessed coming from a sportsbike I was just using a different bit of ass to sit on and that was the difference.

The comfort seat is too soft. Feels great for the first couple of hours, then things start to ache from the lack of support. I'd wait to see what Sargent comes up with before making a change, or sending them your stock seat and having it rebuilt. They should have their new seat for the HM ready in the fall.

I had the comfort seat installed when I picked up the bike so I have no idea if the stock seat is as bad as they say it is. Is the comfort seat much more comfortable? I got it mostly for the looks as well as the advertised lower seat height(which I didn't notice any difference).

I have noticed that the comfort gel seat gets more comfortable as the mileage racks up as it breaks in to the shape of my arse.

I have the DP seat and find it starts to get uncomfortable after about 30 mins, I am looking at getting the comfort seat for some upcoming 2hr+ rides. I will stick to the DP seat for short rides and looks...
