metzler sportec M3's?
I used these on my Z1000 and loved them, they were predictable and would let me know when traction was getting slim. I liked the feel they gave me when they were about to go. Also the lean angle on the rear tires seem to be greater than pilot powers and the stock bridgestones.
Just want opinions on using these on the hyper.

I too had good luck with the M3's. I went from knee close to the ground on the street to full knee dragging shenanigans in no time. Planning on trying some on my hyper too.

what sort of mileage did you get out of a rear? I remember that I didn't get many miles out of the M1 when I used to use them.

Strongly recommended. I just went from Corsa III to M3 which improved more or less all aspects regarding riding (IMO). I instantly felt more comfortable. Used to have the M3s on my previous bike (Monster S4R), and was very satisfied with the durability. The lasted about 10 000 km (approx 6200-6300 miles). The Corsa III had to be changed at about 6000 km (but this on the Hyper?). To me, it is a "win-win situation"

Mileage in my case is poor due to the fact that I live right in the middle of twisty roads and seldom ride on the superslap. If I get 2k out of a rear I'm happy.

Sorry to threadjack but I've had a Z1000 for 3 years and I wondered what your thought were on the HM since your change...
Power, handling, comfort, etc...
Thanks,

Better, Better, Better ! the Z has more HP but the hyper blows it away in low end TQ. The Z is a faster but quick bursts of speed feel much quicker on the HM. Handling is WAY better, its super-light and begs to be leaned over further, the Z feels heavy and unwilling compared to the HM. Comfort is slightly better. The seat on the HM has a monkey butt effect sometimes but is much more soft than the Z.
OH and main advantage over the Z, WHEELIES WHEELIES WHEELIES!
