New S question **FIXED**

I just bought a S and about every other time I go to start it the yellow light in the upper left corner is on and it won't start. I have to turn the key off and try again. What would cause this. I've had the bike only a few hours so I'm pretty sure it's something I am doing wrong and not the bike. Every other bike I've had it was either the clutch or kickstand that would cause something like this. But I've tried it all and it still happens.

That's the EOBD light. Something is wrong and it is sending an error code as well as the engine shutdown. I would call the dealer.

Its not showing any kind of code. I just went out and turned it on. The light came on twice and not on the third try.

Fixed.

Found the code. It's amazing what you can find if you actually read the owners manual.

It came up with a immobilizer code. I still had both keys on one key ring from the dealer. Separated them and all is well. Bike worked correctly 10-15 times.
Guess it had problems with both keys being that close.
My fault.

I'm glad you figured it out and it was a non-engine related one. Yeah, all the codes are listed in the manual, lol.

As I read your first post I was going to tell you to make sure that you are only using one key because two will cause a problem but you beat me to the answer. Glad you figured it out.
