New Hyper Owner
Well today was pick up day on my new '08 Hyper standard.Just picked it up from Maire and gang from Cross Country and big props to them for all their help and patience while I figured out which Duc I wanted.I highly recommend them if you're in the tri-state area as this is my 4th purchase and it's always a great experience.
Had a nice 70 mile plus drive back home to get acquainted with the Hyper and it was awesome. It's so nimble and light feeling for a 1100cc 390lb+ motorcycle.Just a joy to ride whether going straight or hitting the curves. The engine is awesome as well and unlike my BMW it likes to rev for such a torquey motor and it really smooths out as the RPMs rise.Love the ergos and I got the DP comfort seat and I like the seating position as well as the comfort level much better then the standard seat that I test drove on in the decision making process.I'm looking forward to racking up the miles in the coming days and weeks.

Welcome to the fold. If you haven't already, you'll find this group a sophisticated and well-informed bunch. Appreciating the Hyper is our forte, and yours too, I expect, as you build miles and experiences.

I just picked up my Hyper from it's first service at CC and Maire told me someone just bought one from down your way. I guess it's you.... Welcome to the forum. Yeah, it's a sweet bike for sure. You'll love it more and more everyday. I also agree on the friendly gang, and great service at Cross Country in Metuchen. Top notch all the way..!!
Enjoy...

Ocd Hyper
Welcome to the frey Bob. A word of warning If there are women in your life, they are about to become extremely jealous. I've had lots of nice bikes before but this one seems to do strange but wonderfull things to the inside of your head. It's ok coz your heart will always approve anyway.
Six months and 11,000klm, I'm still only courting my beloved which means the honeymoon period hasn't even begun yet.

Thanks everyone.
I just got back from taking a quick loop as y'all know how hard it is not to just throw on the gear and go blast some roads on a fine summer eve.Plus I'm trying to hurry up and wear the tires in so I can let it go a bit
Werloc-Yep I guess that would be me she was referring too. It's all good and at this pace I'll be back for my 600 mile service in no time.
I've had my eyes on one for a while and with Maire's help at Cross Country and the aggressive financing it's become a reality.
I'm definitely in the honeymoon period and it feels like it's gonna last a good long while.I've just begun scratching the surface as far as performance and fun goes!

Got my first bit of bling in the mail the other day. It's the carbon rear hugger from Guido at Shift-Tech.Great stuff, great price with our members discount and super fast shipping.I see lots more carbon from Shift-Tech in my future. Thanks again Guido!
Hell bling is all part of the Ducati experience eh? After I'm carboned out it's on to Clutch and Belt covers.
