odometer reading funky

I know I read somewhere in here that someone else was having problems with their odometer reading fast.

I just received my bike back from the dealer because it was stuck in third gear. I went on a 60 mile ride. The odometer registered nearly twice that. I was wondering if someone could lead me to that post or tell me what, if any, the fix is.

Is it your odometer or tripmeter. The trip on some models was reading incorrectly but usually showing less distance traveled then actually was. You need to take it to a dealer to have it flashed in order to fix it.

I am assuming that it was my odometer. Otherwise I would've gotten 150 miles out of 2.6 gallons of fuel. I will give it another shot tomorrow to see which one is wonky.

If its the odometer then I'm not sure what your issue is. I haven't heard of any with the odo, just the tripmeter which was reading in Kilometers I believe on the first HM's to come to the US. It was a programming error. If you continue to have the issue I would stop by a dealer and let them have a look.
