moto-works.jp
Hi,
Ran across this place as a source for HyperMotard Carbon-Fiber parts. Anyone have any experience with them?

I like the cowl and tail light kit. I hope there is more to come from different aftermarket companies

Moto-Works is a Japanese company that is the sole distributor for Magical Racing carbon parts. They are very high quality. I have done sime business with Simon from Moto-Works and it looks like we will be the importer for these parts in the US. I'll have more info soon, but until then take a look at their site to see what is available.
They are not pre-preg so some of you will have to get it through your heads that wet lay can be done to a VERY high standard. Since carbon is such a touchy topic in the Ducati world I don't want to spark a debate, but many people are under the impression that only pre-preg carbon is worth of a Ducati - which is most definitely not the case. I've even see people dismiss infused carbon which I think is a mistake as well.
Wet lay can be very strong and light when done correctly. Just ask Thorsten - all of his carbon parts are wet lay and they are super light and very strong. Check out his monocoque tails - for the 1098 it saves around 13lbs!

I know them(Magical Racing) from being a CBR600RR owner. They are in Japan. Some of the guys at the 600RR forums have bought stuff from them and the general consensus is that the quality is top notch but so is the price.....although his prices are sky high compared to other aftermarket manufacturers for Japanese sport bikes, it doesn't seem that much higher in the world of Ducati.

I have Magical Racing's front fender, hugger and meter cover on my RC51. It's the best c/f I have seen to date in person. It has that deep 3D illusion look. I knew about MR's c/f for the hyper but I didn't post because I didn't want to step on competing vendors' toes.

What are you guys interested in - the twill weave or the plain weave? Plain would match the OEM weave, but the twill is pretty flash!

I'd prefer something that matches stock.
