Hypermotard Aluminum Subframe Install Pics.

Okay well I picked up a new aluminum subframe from Moto Wheels yesterday and the project was on. Let me tell you the amount of drama that taking off the stock subframe is, but hey time a patience. Peeled off the subframe and holy shit it was like a lead weight. Put the new subframe on, slid the Termis on and installed the Tidy Tail rear plate clean up thing. Here are the pics.

Yes it's anodized red. They make it in silver, this gunmetal grey color, and red. Makes the frame look pink in the picture but looks much better in person. I guess you could always powder coat it.

Looks good. Would you trust it with a passenger?

No, no black just that wierd gunmetal. Nothing a quick powder coat wouldn't take care of. Yeah it's pretty sturdy, I think your typical female passenger on the back, no prob.

8 pounds towards mass centralization. How many dollars equals eight pounds?

Oh jesus we have Mr. Analysis Paralysis on this board. Here let me kill your weight, value argument. The reality is that the engineering on most equipment does not require any sort of modification, so the money we spend modifying, changing colors on things, adding carbon (the real waste of money, but fuck it looks good), and other money holes is all pretty pointless. I make a boat load of money, I dont have any fuck trophies (kids for those of you who don't know) and I got rid of my airplanes, sooooo screw it. Next item, BST carbon wheels. Do the math on weight vs. cost on that, I'll bet that will blow up your abacus.
